Free public events. Cross-cutting research. Community partnerships. Student engagement. For over a decade under the stewardship of Charles Ogletree, Jesse Climenko Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and our faculty founder, the Houston Institute has served as an incubator of new ideas to advance racial justice. In all our work, we are guided by Charles Hamilton Houston’s notion that “all our struggles must tie in together.” Under the leadership of Dean Tomiko Brown-Nagin, our mission remains constant—to create pathways to membership and participation for those society has excluded & find ways to identify and amplify their voices in crafting and implementing public policy. Though housed at Harvard Law School, the Houston Institute must raise its own funds for all of our administrative overhead and programmatic activities. With your support, we can continue to carry out timely policy research; connect scholars to practitioners and community leaders; host free public events; and mentor students to be the next generation of changemakers.
We thank you in advance for your generous contribution.
